Thursday February 11th at BCR Discord meeting: Bren Bataclan presentation

This Thursday, 11 February, BCR’s regular meeting will have a special guest: Cambridge artist Bren Bataclan. He will be giving a presentation on his first book: FE: A Traumatized Son’s Graphic Memoir. Bren, the son of Filipino immigrants, found in the year of COVID that his usual business of mural-painting had vanished overnight. He turned his hand to telling the story of his mother, Fe, and having to grow up with her hoarding, narcissism, and volatility — as well as her surprising willingness to welcome Bren’s husband into the family. At this week’s BCR Discord meeting, Bren will share with us not only his story, but his creative process. Regular BCR meeting activities will follow, as time allows.
