Studio class: Art of the Comic Book
If you’re looking to learn how to make comics, Roundtable member and comics writer/illustrator Dave Marshall has a hands-on class for you: The Art of the Comic Book, an 8-week course offered through Mass. College of Art and Design’s Continuing Education program (class starts March 16 – register now!).
Art of the Comic Book is a studio workshop for making comics with traditional ink-on-paper media. Focus includes storytelling, character design, working with scripts, lettering, inking, figure drawing, sketchbook practice, and group critiques. Study the comic book industry’s current production methods, business environment, and history.
