The Comics Journal new site offers a review the anthology Dark Corners, including “Imaginary Friend” by Caitlin Plovnick.

Poopsheet Foundation has reviewed Outbound #1 and The First Transmission of the Minimalist Comics Collective.

Alexander Danner and Edward J. Grug III’s Gingerbread Houses is recommended by Brigid Alverson as a webcomic adaptation of a classic tale.

Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog has a great writeup on Jesse Lonergan‘s new graphic novel Joe and Azat, based on his time in Turkmenistan with the Peace Corps.

The Boston Globe highlights Gareth Hinds and discusses the process behind his graphic novel adaptations of the classics, including his recent version of King Lear and upcoming version of The Odyssey.

Martin Dolan reviews the first issue of Outbound, BCR’s sci-fi serial anthology. Look for the second issue, coming soon!

The Somerville News Blog has a fantastic writeup about our Wild Ink fundraiser event from this summer! Thanks to everyone who attended the party at P.A.’s Lounge in Somerville and who egged on the artists in the “Fastest Artist” competition.

And the Boston Phoenix recently published a list of recommended graphic novels, which included a shout-out for The Ragbox, written by BCR founder Dave Kender and including art by Braden Lamb.
