  • Free Comic Book Day 2011!

This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day! That’s right – you can stroll into your local participating shop and pick up some great comics, FREE!

Come and visit members of Boston Comics Roundtable, who’ll be helping celebrate the day at their local shops!

New England Comics in Brookline and Cambridge’s Harvard Square will be hosting Roundtable artists and writers from 12-3. They’ll be doing sketches, signing books, and chatting about comics.

Dirk Tiede (Paradigm Shift) will be sketching and signing at Harrison’s Comics and Collectibles in Salem from 10-2. The first 10 fans to visit Dirk will get a FREE copy of Paradigm Shift volume 1!

Dave Marshall, webcomic creator and comic art teacher, will demo inking, lettering, and other comic skills at Hub Comics in Somerville’s Union Square.

Cathy Leamy (Geraniums and Bacon, Greenblooded), will be sketching and signing minicomics at Boston’s Comicopia along with local creators Kevin Church and Ming Doyle.

See you at the shops on Saturday!

  • Meeting location change for tonight, March 24th

Tonight we will have a change of venue, moving from our cosy spot in the Democracy Center to just a few blocks up the street at John Harvard’s Brew House (map). We’ll be back to our normal place and time next week.

  • Meeting tonight, February 3rd, cancelled

Sorry, folks, but our normal meeting space at the Democracy center in Harvard Square is booked. If you’re on our Google Group, you can find out if an impromptu meeting is happening anywhere else in the area. Otherwise, we’ll see you next week at our normal time and place.
