  • Maine Comics Arts Fest 2011

    One of our favorite New England comic shows is this coming weekend! Join us in Portland, Maine, on Sunday May 22 for Maine Comics Arts Festival. Boston Comics Roundtable and many of its members will be there to sell our anthologies, minicomics, graphic novels, and much more! Admission is just $5 and kids 12 and under get in for free – bring the whole family for a day of comics fun!

  • Free Comic Book Day 2011!

    This Saturday is Free Comic Book Day! That’s right – you can stroll into your local participating shop and pick up some great comics, FREE!

    Come and visit members of Boston Comics Roundtable, who’ll be helping celebrate the day at their local shops!

    New England Comics in Brookline and Cambridge’s Harvard Square will be hosting Roundtable artists and writers from 12-3. They’ll be doing sketches, signing books, and chatting about comics.

    Dirk Tiede (Paradigm Shift) will be sketching and signing at Harrison’s Comics and Collectibles in Salem from 10-2. The first 10 fans to visit Dirk will get a FREE copy of Paradigm Shift volume 1!

    Dave Marshall, webcomic creator and comic art teacher, will demo inking, lettering, and other comic skills at Hub Comics in Somerville’s Union Square.

    Cathy Leamy (Geraniums and Bacon, Greenblooded), will be sketching and signing minicomics at Boston’s Comicopia along with local creators Kevin Church and Ming Doyle.

  • Boston Comic Con 2011

    This hometown show keeps on growing! Boston Comic Con 2011 will be larger than ever in its new location, Hynes Convention Center. Catch big name artists and writers, dozens of vendors, and loads of local talent! Look for Boston Comics Roundtable at the Artists Alley along with plenty of our New England pals.

  • MoCCA Art Fest 2011

    Comic convention season is kicking off! Come and visit Boston Comics Roundtable at NYC’s MoCCA Art Fest 2011 – we’ll have tables at this annual indie comics fiesta and fundraiser, selling our anthologies, individual members’ comics, and more. See you there, April 9-10!

  • Gallery show: GOOD VS EEEEEVIL!

    Space 242, Boston’s hub for low-brow artwork, is reopening and unleashing its latest exhibit on the world! See their group show GOOD VS EEEEEVIL! Superheroes vs. Villains Smackdown including artwork by Roundtable members.

    The show is open for a very limited time – one week only! Join them for the show’s FREE opening reception on Friday, January 28 from 6-8pm. RSVP is required – see the Space 242 site for details.

  • Arisia 2011

    Attention geeks! Arisia, New England’s largest sci-fi and fantasy convention, will be held next weekend, January 14-17. Enjoy movies, panel discussions, costume contests, and more, all in the convention’s new location at the Westin Waterfront Hotel on the Boston waterfront (near South Boston).

    Come and meet this year’s Webcomic Guest of Honor, Shaenon Garrity, and look for a very active series of comics discussion panels and plenty of Roundtable members participating!
