Inbound 4 is Making History!
The fourth issue of our comics anthology is almost here! Expect Inbound #4 in stores and available online in December 2009.
In this special installment, Boston Comics Roundtable takes on exciting true tales from Boston history: from Shay’s Rebellion, the fugitive slave riots and the Great Molasses Flood, to Charles Ponzi’s original “scheme” and Mark Twain’s disastrous encounter with Boston literary society, to the 1970s busing crisis, the Gardner Museum heist and many more.

The Ragbox
The first volume of The Ragbox, a trade paperback graphic novel, is available online and in select stores. Written and created by Dave Kender, the book is the first installment introducing the racial kaleidoscope neighborhood of the Ragbox district. Each chapter is illustrated by a different artist. Boston Comic Con
Boston’s Comic convention returns to the Back Bay Events Center (180 Berkeley Street, Boston, MA) for the weekend of October 24-25th. The show runs from 10am to 5pm with passes for $10 each day. Guests include: Tim Sale, Geof Darrow, David Mack and many more. Check out the Boston Comics Roundtable in the Artist Alley. More information is available at the BCC website.
In addition, the Comicbook Artist Guild is hosting a post-con meet and greet on Saturday, October 24 at Clerys Bar & Restaurant on Dartmouth Street.

Cartoonists: Why Signage Matters
My table at the art market last month. Can you find the signs? For the past year, I have tried peddling my comics in a new venue: the craft fair/art market.

Part of the decision is financial: with tables at MoCCA going for $400 next year, (!!!) I simply can’t justify the travel expenses, the exhaustion, and the outrageous cost for a tiny table in an overheated room when I’m selling comics for $3 a piece. But the other motivation has been my wife Wendy; since we’ve been collaborating more and more on books and zines, we thought it would be fun to share tables. And so we hit the art fair circuit.
