  • MICE: A new indy comics show!

    We’re putting on a show!

    On September 25th, the Boston Comics Roundtable joins forces with the Art Institute of Boston to present MICE: the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo. This will be Boston’s first show dedicated to independent and self-published comics, with over 50 exhibitors from the city and beyond.

    At MICE, comics artists, writers and readers will come together and celebrate the fun and exciting comics emerging from Boston’s thriving indy comics scene. Look for workshops and panels on comics art and plenty of great stuff to read and buy!

    Be there from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday, September 25th at the Art Institute of Boston, 700 Beacon Street, Kenmore Square!

  • Bazaar Bizarre Summer Fair

    It’s summer in New England, and what better time for an outdoor fair! This Saturday, join us at Boston Bazaar Bizarre Summer Fair in Somerville’s Union Square for cool arts and crafts, live music, and more! The Roundtable will be there selling our group’s comics anthologies and projects by our members. And stop by the Bazaar’s “fauxtobooth” to get your caricature drawn by one of our artists!

  • Inbound #5: Now accepting submissions

    Calling all New England comics creators – Boston Comics Roundtable is now working on the fifth issue of our comics anthology Inbound! And we’re accepting submissions!

    Deadline: July 1, 2010

    The theme for Inbound #5 is FOOD. We’re looking for stories that use food as a dramatic or comedic narrative theme, the basis for great stories. Of course it’s a very conducive theme to slice of life, realistic stories, but food can also be the basis for fantastic, scary, weird and imaginative stories of all kinds. Food as metaphor, food as Macguffin, food as fantasy… personal stories, adventure stories, food as history ….

    Artwork print size will be 5.75 x 8.625” . Black-and-white artwork; scanned files must be 300dpi at print size. Target story length is 4-12 pages, but we may accomodate shorter/longer stories (email the editorial team to confirm).

  • Cambridge River Festival

    The Cambridge River Festival is coming! The annual outdoor arts celebration will be held on June 5 by the Charles River, and Boston Comics Roundtable will be one of the art vendors. Come for a day of music, dance, food, arts and crafts … and comics from local creators!

  • WildPig Comic-Con

    If you’re a comics fan around New Jersey, come on over to the WildPig Comics Convention on May 15 and 16! Boston Comics Roundtable member Roho will be there, selling Roundtable anthologies Inbound and Outbound.
